Yes. The whole app and your first garden are free for good — the planting plan, the monthly jobs, the garden designer, your journal and the wildlife score. There is no trial, no card on sign-up and no feature that locks after a month. The one thing you can buy today is a soil test; Premium and extra gardens come later.

The laboratory measures soil pH, phosphorus, potassium and magnesium — reported in mg/l and as an index — and, in LOAM Plus, organic matter as a percentage. Both tiers cover up to six zones per box, with one sample bag per zone. LOAM is £39.99 and LOAM Plus is £49.99.

Most reports reach you within two weeks of the day you post your sample back to the laboratory. Four weeks from that day is the period we agree with you: if your report has not arrived by then, tell us and we will give you a date — and if we miss that date too, you can end the contract and get a full refund. The time a kit waits on your table does not count.

No. Nothing is charged at sign-up and no card is taken. You can plan a full year of gardening, draw your zones and keep your journal without a payment method ever touching the app.

Yes — and get all of your money back, any time until your soil reaches the laboratory. Cancel from your account before the kit is posted, or email hello@growproltd.com after that. A kit already posted is yours to keep: there is nothing to send back and nothing to pay for it.

An account is an email address. We use the first part of your postcode, never the full one. We do not sell or rent your data and do not share it for anyone else’s marketing. There are no advertising cookies, and analytics does not load until you say yes. You can export your data and delete your account yourself, from your account settings, without asking us.

Yes. Grow Pro runs in the browser on a phone, tablet or computer, and there is an iPhone and Android app. The garden designer is built for touch as well as a mouse, and every control meets the 44-pixel target that makes outdoor, one-handed use realistic.

Yes. German gardens get German postcode areas, frost regions and a German-language app, written in the du register — not a machine translation. One honest limit: the soil test is a UK service for now, because the laboratory is a UK laboratory. German gardeners can use everything else.

The postcode is how the plan knows your frost dates, your likely soil and your local growing windows. We store the first part only — for example M1 — never your full postcode, and the plan works from the area rather than your street.

A score out of 100 for what your garden offers wildlife, from four pillars: bloom coverage, habitat, plant diversity and the share of native planting. Garden size is deliberately not in the formula — a planted courtyard beats half an acre of lawn on merit. Sightings you log sit beside the score and never change it.

No. What we say about plants, soil and timing is written and curated from published sources. It is not AI output, and nothing you type is sent to an AI service. A recommendation is not a promise of a result — soil takes time to change, and sometimes the right advice is to add nothing.
