Toxic to pets
Wild ginger can be dangerous: it is toxic to people if eaten, so never use it as a kitchen ginger and keep children from chewing the leaves or roots. Dogs and cats that eat it are at the same risk. If a person eats any, get medical advice (call the emergency number if they are unwell); if a pet does, ring your vet straight away.
