Toxic to pets
Tulips are harmful if eaten, to people and pets, and the bulbs are the most poisonous part; they cause drooling, sickness and diarrhoea in dogs and cats. Handling the bulbs can also trigger a skin allergy, so wear gloves when planting, and never store bulbs with food. If a person eats any, get medical advice; if a pet does, contact a vet.
