Growing notes

Grows to 0.1-0.5 metres. In flower Mar-Apr.

Toxic to pets

Snowflake bulbs are ornamental and not for eating; the trade body rates them low toxicity for people, but they contain the same lycorine as snowdrops, so keep them away from children and never store them with food. In pets it causes vomiting and stomach upset, the bulbs most of all. If a person eats a lot, get medical advice; if a pet eats any, contact a vet.
