Toxic to pets
Snake's head fritillary bulbs are ornamental and not for eating; the trade body rates them low toxicity for people, but all parts contain alkaloids, so keep bulbs away from children and never store them with food. All parts, including the bulb, are poisonous to dogs and cats and can make them ill. If a person eats a lot, get medical advice; if a pet eats any, contact a vet.
