Growing notes
Grows to 1-1.5 metres. Space about 100-150cm apart. At its best in spring.
Toxic to pets
The leaves are poisonous to people and pets because of their oxalic acid; only the cooked leaf stalks are eaten. Never eat the leaves, and keep them out of reach of dogs and cats, in which they cause drooling, sickness and even kidney damage. If a person eats leaves, get medical advice; if a pet does, contact a vet.
