Toxic to pets
Nerine bulbs are ornamental and not for eating; the trade body rates them low toxicity for people, but as a relative of amaryllis and daffodils they contain lycorine, so keep them away from children and never store them with food. In pets it causes vomiting, drooling and stomach upset, especially the bulb. If a person eats a lot, get medical advice; if a pet eats any, contact a vet.
