Grows to higher than 12 metres. Space about 400-800cm apart.

The fleshy seeds that female maidenhair trees drop in autumn are harmful if eaten and easy for a child to pick up; the leaves and wood are not the problem. Clear fallen seeds from where children and pets play. Get medical advice straight away if a child has eaten one, and contact a vet if a pet has.
