Toxic to pets

Irises are harmful if eaten, to people and pets, and the rhizomes and bulbs are the most poisonous part; in pets they cause drooling, sickness and diarrhoea. Keep rhizomes and bulbs away from children and pets and never store them with food. If a person eats any, get medical advice; if a pet does, contact a vet.
