Toxic to pets

Fiddle-leaf fig is a skin allergen: its sap can give some people a rash, so wear gloves when cutting or repotting it and wash your hands afterwards. Dogs and cats that chew the leaves get an irritated mouth, drooling and sickness. For a skin reaction get medical advice; if a pet chews the plant, ring your vet.
