Growing notes
Grows to 0.5-1 metres. Space about 50-100cm apart. In flower September to October.
Toxic to pets
Dioscorea can be dangerous to a person or a pet that eats any part of it, and its sap can irritate skin. Keep the plant out of reach of children and pets and wear gloves when handling it. If a person has swallowed any, get medical advice straight away; if a pet has, contact a vet at once.
