Grows well with
Carrot — Carrots are listed among the crops that suit a mixed bed with courgettes.Nasturtium — Grow nasturtium alongside your courgettes. Research on squash crops found nasturtium brought squash bug numbers down, and a second trial found it cut damage from squash bugs and cucumber beetles.Onion — Onions are named as a suitable partner for courgettes, so a row of them along the edge of the courgette bed works well.Brassicas — Cabbage family plants are the ones to avoid next to courgettes - keep them in another zone.Runner Bean — Beans are among the crops recommended to share a zone with courgettes, along with onions, beetroot, carrots, fennel and dill, so runner beans and courgettes can go in together.
