Toxic to pets

Cotoneaster berries are ornamental and not for eating: they are only mildly harmful, and a person who eats a lot of them may get a brief stomach upset. Dogs and cats that eat the berries may likewise get a short-lived stomach upset. If a child eats a quantity, get medical advice; if a pet does, ring your vet.
