Growing notes
Grows to 1-1.5 metres. Space about 100-150cm apart. In flower May-Sep.
Toxic to pets
Comfrey contains pyrrolizidine alkaloids that damage the liver, so it is harmful to people and pets if eaten repeatedly or in large amounts. Don't eat it and stop pets grazing on it. If a person has been eating it, get medical advice; if a pet has, contact a vet.
