Toxic to pets

Climbing aloe is an aloe, and aloes are harmful to people if eaten: the bitter yellow latex just under the leaf skin causes stomach upset, so do not eat the leaves. Dogs and cats that chew the leaves get vomiting, diarrhoea and lethargy and may go off their food. If a person eats the leaf, get medical advice; if a pet chews it, ring your vet.
