Growing notes

Grows to 2.5-4 metres. Space about 250-400cm apart. In flower Mar-Apr.

Toxic to pets

Sloes, their stones and the leaves contain compounds that release cyanide and can be harmful to people and pets if chewed and eaten. Don't crack and eat the stones, and keep fallen sloes, stones and prunings away from pets. If a person eats stones or leaves, get medical advice; if a pet chews them, contact a vet.
