Safe around pets
Belladonna lily bulbs are ornamental and not for eating: the RHS lists amaryllis as harmful to people if eaten, so keep the bulbs away from children and never mistake one for an onion. Dogs and cats that eat a bulb can be unwell, and a whole bulb can choke or block the gut. If a person eats any, get medical advice; if a pet does, ring your vet.
