Toxic to pets

The sap of Ammi majus contains phototoxic chemicals: on skin that is then exposed to sunlight it can cause sunburn-like blistering and soreness in people, so wear gloves and long sleeves when cutting it and wash any sap off at once. Dogs and cats that get the sap on their skin or coat can be affected in the same way. If skin blisters, keep it out of the sun and get medical advice; for a pet, ring your vet.
