Toxic to pets

Agapanthus is harmful if eaten, to people and pets, and the sap can irritate the skin and mouth. Wear gloves when dividing or cutting it, wash off any sap, and keep pets from chewing it. If a person eats any or the skin reacts, get medical advice; if a pet chews it, contact a vet.
