Clematis Group 3 (late)
Clematis sap is a skin irritant, so wear gloves and wash your hands after pruning. Each cut is a wound that can let disease in, so use clean, sharp secateurs and cut just above a healthy pair of buds.

Flowers on this years new growth, so hard pruning is ideal.

Cut the whole plant back hard to about 30cm above strong buds.
