Pruning
Clematis Group 2 (large, early summer)
Clematis sap can irritate skin and eyes, so wear gloves and wash your hands after pruning. Use clean, sharp secateurs, as every cut is a wound that can let disease into the plant. If the clematis is trained high and you need a ladder, make sure it is steady before you reach up.
