A clipped hedge and the same plant grown free share the same leaf and the same flower and differ only in whether a gardener clips them, so one picture serves both. The browse and pick screen exists to identify the plant; choosing hedge or tree afterwards is a tap, not a picture. This also removes a slot the free sources could never fill, because nobody photographs their box edging and submits it for species verification. Picture that was on this row, kept for the record: https://inaturalist-open-data.s3.amazonaws.com/photos/605960068/original.jpg | Clipped or managed as a hedge. The same plant grown free stands in Trees or Shrubs; a hedge is a different silhouette, so it is its own photograph. | Species shown: Laurus nobilis. Photo: Richard Fuller, CC0 1.0, via iNaturalist / GBIF, research-grade observation 6130986554 REVIEW: the species is right but the picture may not look like the plant a gardener expects. It is a field observation of the species, so it may not show a clipped hedge. |

CC0 1.0, public domain, no attribution required, via GBIF, winter observation 5908657138 taken 2025-12-02 taken 2025-12-02. REVIEW: winter record, framing unconfirmed, may be a close-up rather than a whole plant. Wild recorded plant, not a clipped hedge. Beech holds brown winter leaves, so this may not read as bare. |

| BorindaBorinda · Grasses | Ο φωτογράφος δεν έχει καταγραφεί | Η άδεια δεν έχει καταγραφεί | Added in v9.22 with the plant row. | No separate photograph. The only usable image found is already used by group PG-0274, and each habit group needs a picture of its own shape. | EOL v9.35: Searched EOL for "Borinda", which returns 50 ids. Tried every Borinda page in the result set at images_per_page=75: genus ids 65290064, 57688092, 52455952, 55575200, 62504318, 65327378, 65643009, 51610473, 53725495, and species ids 60640150 (boliana), 68309727 (frigidorum), 68309729 (macclureana), 65027639 (ferax), plus the Fargesia synonym pages 2896568 (grossa) and 2906750 (utilis). Every single one returns zero dataObjects, taxon records with no media. Fargesia macclureana (2884837) returned HTTP 429 on four attempts and could not be read. Blank because EOL holds no photographs for this genus at all, not because of licence. |
