| Viburnum tinusViburnum tinus · Hedging | Nincs fotós rögzítve | Nincs licenc rögzítve | MERGED v9.42 into PG-0078. A clipped hedge and the same plant grown free share the same leaf and the same flower and differ only in whether a gardener clips them, so one picture serves both. The browse and pick screen exists to identify the plant; choosing hedge or tree afterwards is a tap, not a picture. This also removes a slot the free sources could never fill, because nobody photographs their box edging and submits it for species verification. Picture that was on this row, kept for the record: https://content.eol.org/data/media/5f/cb/77/509.089630bcd0d565a5627997c29f33b0da.jpg | Species shown: Viburnum tinus. Photo: Ixitixel, CC BY-SA 3.0, via Wikimedia Commons via EOL. Original item: https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Viburnum_tinus_spp_subcordatum_(Habitus).jpg. Shape evidence: title and description both carry the word Habitus, 'Lorbeer-Schneeball (Viburnum tinus ssp. subcordatum) - Habitus'. An explicit whole-plant habit shot, which is exactly what a silhouette group needs. Caveat: it is subspecies subcordatum, not the plain species, and it does not say the plant is clipped or grown as a hedge.. Was blank in v9.34 because GBIF had nothing usable; found through Encyclopedia of Life in v9.35. |

The same plant grown free stands in Trees or Shrubs; a hedge is a different silhouette, so it is its own photograph. | Species shown: Taxus baccata. Photo: David Sankey, CC0 1.0, via iNaturalist / GBIF, research-grade observation 5938447728 REVIEW: the species is right but the picture may not look like the plant a gardener expects. It is a field observation of the species, so it may not show a clipped hedge. |
